SEPTEMBER 17, 2025:
KLEEFSTRA SYNDROME AWARENESS DAY!
sTATE PROCLAMATIONS
A proclamation is an official declaration issued by a government official, such as a governor, mayor, or county executive, to recognize a specific day, week, or month for awareness or celebration.
Getting a proclamation issued by your state or local government can be a powerful way to advocate, highlight, and raise awareness about Kleefstra syndrome throughout your community and beyond. We have made this an annual challenge for our Kleefstra community as we look forward to the day that all 50 states recognize Kleefstra Syndrome Awareness Day while demonstrating the impact and connectedness of our community. September 17th is our day!
Listed below are links to each states process, and we have created our 2025 Kleefstra Syndrome Awareness Day Proclaamtion Letter. Please reach out to unlock@idefine.org about what state(s) you are creating a request for!
